I am currently exploring the subject of Gravity--its many connotations and iterations. In the process, I am working with weight, texture, and shape. I have been greatly influenced by modernism. The literature and art of this period, when conventions of genre were broken and when visual artists sought to escape the boundaries of form, have had a lasting impact on me. Mondrian, Rothko, Motherwell, and Scully are among my favourite artists. A self-taught artist, I work primarily in acrylic and mixed media. My work has been shown in galleries in Markham and Toronto including the McMichael Gallery--Community Gallery, as well as in commercial spaces in downtown Toronto and Mississauga.

Best season of the year in Toronto
Spring is the best season in Toronto. Foliage is fresh and of a luminous green colour. And I love seeing new life emerge.

Coffee is my fave, hands down!
What do you listen to when you work?
I listen to Antenne Bayern Chill Out lounge music.
Favourite artist(s) right now
Right now my fave artist is Cole Robert Ellsworth (Cole.Stacks). He posts amazing rock stacks that are truly inspiring.
Why is art important to you?
Art is important to me in so many ways: a form of expression, a reflection of an idea, a way to breathe.
When did you start making art, and why?
I began creating art in my teens, and have come back to it throughout my life. I'm now immersed in the practice and always seek to evolve.
